Week In Review August 22, 2010

This week we went to Lagoon. Kind of like one last hurrah before school starts, but not the last time for the year because they're still open on weekends until the end of October. I'll say it again - Lagoon passes were the best purchase I ever made.

This picture below is the old white roller coaster. It's completely made of wood, and as the boards are replaced, they are left brown because it's easier to spot cracks in the wood when it's not painted. This one kind of scares me to death because the weight of twenty or thirty people screaming along the track seems like it should topple the coaster like a pile of matchsticks. One day it will. This is not where I want to be in an earthquake.

Drew finally learned how to maneuver the bumper cars so that he can chase down Ethan and ram him, instead of just turning in circles while he smiles at himself in all the mirrors.

Drew and Trent riding the Moon Raker. Kiddie Land rocks!

Every time we go to Lagoon, Cameron and Ethan ask me if I've ever been on this ride. My answer is always the same. "Do I look stupid?"

I really need to try this Hydro-Luge. I've been meaning to take the kids one at a time for a while now. Maybe this weekend...

Trent sneaked out of the house before breakfast to mow the lawn on Wednesday.

Trent, Drew, and Bryan spend at least an hour a day riding the Cozy Coupes around the driveway. There's just enough of a hill to make it thrilling.

We ate ice cream. (Some of us more than once, but only after the kids had gone to bed.)

Cameron's sunflowers finally bloomed! They're about ten inches across. Huge.

And we've still not figured out how to keep clothes on Drew when he's outside. There's a nudist colony about two hours from here, so we might just have to move.

Until next week! :)

Cozy Coupes are what it's all about!
I seriously can't believe how big Trent has gotten since we saw him last. That is crazy!
