Ethan had his first ever birthday party yesterday. I am a terrible mother. Cameron has had at least four. Hopefully Ethan won't have to go to therapy because of my negligence.
The theme was Star Wars. He wanted basketball, but I told him no. I got nothin' for basketball, while there is plenty to work with for Star Wars. Most of the ideas I got from the internet, but I didn't take note of where I got them, so I can't help ya there.
We ate light saber cake and drank Yoda Sodas.
We painted and decorated our own pod racers and then had a fantastic race.
We used The Force to guide us as we played pin the light saber on Luke.
And finally, we defeated the Death Star by smashing it to bits with our light sabers. When it exploded, candy came out. Who'da thunk it? (And I am fully ware that the Death Star is not supposed to be egg-shaped, but I couldn't find any round balloons.)

What a COOL party! love the light saber cupcaake theme! And the star tingum, and the drink! Fun fun fun. I am sure he'll forget he never had a party after this!
