Still A Little Surreal In My Memory

Dear Heidi,

Remember this:

I do.  I was still in a disbelieving stupor at this point.  Sometimes I still lay in bed at night and think about those four (and a half) amazing days Andrew and I spent with you, and it makes me wish to do it all over again.  With all the same yummy food, same laughs about those things we laughed about that I can't say here, and the same picturesque kind of memories made.

By the way, I'm still waiting for that macaroni and cheese recipe.  I suppose I could call your house-husband, but I only remember to do that kind of thing when it's two in the morning your time.

All of us here are getting excited for our fishing/break from homeschool trip in 11 or so days.  I am very excited to see Kate and Grandma again, and you will be sorely missed.  Especially by Trent and Drew who still owe you hugs for all the clothes you sent them.  They both wear them all.  Same size -- my runt and my giant.

But enough about me?  How are you?  I have a million questions for you, such as:  How is Tim's school going?  How is work?  Everything the same since that take-over, or has it shaken things up a bit?  Are you and Grandma done with that lamp yet?  What is blooming in your yard right now?  How's the weather?  What are your plans for fall?

I suppose it's time to wrap it up.  8:30 at night, and I'm just starting my weekly deep house cleaning.  Spent all day helping my parents move, coaching a soccer game, and prepping for next week's lessons on fish and sea life.  I feel old right now.  If I were you, I'd be expecting a call from your favorite hypochondriac pretty soon, because all this fatigue is sure to spark some odd symptoms that I'm not allowed to look up on WebMD anymore.

Say hello to your Tim for us, and next time you drive over that Key Bridge, I hope it makes you smile.  I do every time I think of it.

Love and hugs,
Bethany
