Happy to report that this man has a healthy, plaque-free, blockage-free, and as of today, hole-free heart!! Because how sad a world would it be without him?
I am so tired.
So I can't even imagine how my parents feel.
Today was good. Dad came through the surgery like a champ. His 12 millimeter hole, (which allowed for his minor heart attack and stroke last year), was closed off with some kind of miraculous gizmo. The doctor called his hole, "a whopper", and then changed his mind and said that it was "one hell of a hole". Either way, I am grateful for modern medicine and fantastic doctors. This particular doctor was not too humble to tell us how smart he thought he was. His departing line was, "God heals, and I take the paycheck."
