In case any of you didn't know, there is a gadget at the very bottom of my blog that tells me when people land on my blog, what city they log on from, and how they got there. If a person in Sandusky Ohio were to go to Google and type in "Bethany's Brain", they would get a listing of sites that have those terms, and if they happened to click on one that linked to my page, then the gadget at the bottom of my page would read, "Sandusky, Ohio arrived from Google on Bethany's Brain by searching for Bethany's Brain". Some of you have this same feature on your blogs, so you know what I'm talking about. I think it's very interesting stuff. So today I popped on there and saw something that horrified me. In my post yesterday, I used the word "spanking" in a very innocent way. But some pervert from Nottingham, England went to Google and searched for something no less than child pornography, and somehow, Google directed him to me, presumably because I used the word "spanking" in one of my posts. The phrase that Disgusting Scum used in his Google search was never used in my blog, so I can only assume that he was presented with 6 million web pages that used some of the words or variations of those words, and that he looked at every single one of them, blackening his soul, and then finally stumbling upon my page when he hit the near end of the list. How does this happen?? I have pictures of my kids on my page, and links to some of you on my page, and all of those pictures were presented to an evil, internet scumbag for his viewing pleasure. I'm confident that he didn't stay long, having not gotten the filth he was looking for, but I still feel sickened by his presence. I had no idea that Google was so vague. I guess I'm just ignorant.
So. I've decided that I don't want anymore child porn addicts to see pictures of my fully clothed and innocent children. So I'm going private with my blog. What that means for all of you wonderful readers of my crazy brain excretions, (wonder what you'd get if you typed that into Google?), is that if you wish to continue to read my blog, I will have to send you an invitation. In order to do so, I need your e-mail address. I know that's kind of a pain, but it's a small one. If you would like an invitation, please leave a comment on this post, or send me an e-mail requesting an invite. I'm going to e-mail the invites and go private on Friday, the 4th of September. So, let me know by then if you'd like to be included. Thanks to everyone for reading, and for your thoughts on what I write. Blogging is fun. I just don't want it to be sickening at the same time.

Upon further research, I find that Pervert did a Google blog search, typed in "kids spanked naked" and because I used the words "naked" and "spanking" in the same post, though completely unrelated to each other, that's what he was presented. I was something like # 4 on the list. So this explains the incident better, but I'm still feeling dirty and violated, so we're sticking to the current plan. I wish to be able to say "naked" and "spank" in my blog without having the scum of the earth pay me a visit.
Sick, sick, sick.
I'll send you an email.

I will be sending you my e-mail as well. How do you get that set up to know who looks at your blog? I once had several creeps post comments because I had the word chicks on my site. I was of course blogging about the baby chickens I had just picked up. It is sick when creeps find your blog.
Going private has been a dilemma for me since I started the blog... problem is, hardly anybody checks private blogs (me included). Mostly because they don't show up on Google reader. But that's not the only reason to stay public...
But sign me up if you still go private. jourdanboynton{at}yahoo
