OH MY EXPLETIVE!

I was doing dishes in the kitchen this morning and came into the living room to see what Drew was doing... If only I had checked on him 2 or 3 minutes earlier... He had drawn all over my brand new computer screen with pen and permanent marker. For a moment my brain actually thought he had gotten into the paint application on the start menu. I am an idiot. It is Drew, after all, so it naturally has to be the worst possible scenario. I did take time to spank him, and then I cursed myself for not having a magic eraser, then I wondered if a magic eraser would damage the screen, then I frantically grabbed a baby wipe and started scrubbing, then I wondered if pushing that hard on the screen would damage the liquid crystal thingy or whatever it is, then I called my Dad. Whew... He saved the day and Drew's life just by suggesting that I call PC Laptops and ask them what to do. Believe it or not, they told me to draw over the permanent marker with a dry-erase marker and it would wipe it all right off. So I did, and you can imagine how wrong it felt to be drawing all over my monitor. I can see where Drew would enjoy it. The dry-erase marker did work, and all is well. I took the picture below after trying the dry-erase clean-up method. At that point it was about half cleaned up and I was calm enough to take a picture for more "Naughty Drew" documentation. Just another event in the life of Drew.
