I woke up this morning to last year's dishes. Not a good way to start out. The kids are very pleased with themselves for being grown up enough to have stayed up until midnight last night. What they don't know is that I changed the clocks to show midnight when it was really only ten. Score one for me.
2009 was good to us, and we can't say that about every year we've lived through. 2007, for example. That was a killer. But 2009 was not too bad at all.
Of course, there was the part where I had to bid farewell to my favorite restaurant. But that's a relatively small sorrow.
I watched Andrew suffer through pain worse than medicated childbirth times four.
We had a fantastic week with Susie and her family when Cameron was baptized, but I guess I never wrote about it. Such a shame! I won't correct that now, but I will share this photo with you:
I love Susie!
I shared with you all some of my most embarrassing moments, and completely neglected to include what I did when I accepted my high school diploma. That one was so bad that I have to say it deserved the #1 spot.
I was good enough to let Drew survive, even after this, and this, and this, and this, and oh, yeah, this.
We made new rules, thanks to Ethan and some other people.
We dealt with poop. On more than one occasion, actually.
We made memories, like this and this and this. Oh! And this!
We went on our annual fishing vacation. This is not about fishing.
Some of us got the swine flu.
We appreciated family. East Coast, no coast and West Coast.
We welcomed new family members. Not once, but twice.
And we were generally very happy.
We're hoping that 2010 will be another magnificent year for our family and yours. Happy New Year!

That was a way, way, way, way fun way of reviewing your family's year in a nutshell. It kept me reading & laughing and up until after 1am. You have an amazing family. You are doing so well with your wonderful, gorgeous boys. I am impressed with your ability to deal with Drewby's naughtiness. You are a great mother and example to me! I am so glad I can call you my sister. You are such a great addition to our family and only you could handle my favorite little brother. Happy New Year! Thanks for bringing four of my nephews into the world...you are fabulous!
