Aren't We Lucky?

It has been a crazy day. At times like this I pray that if ever I were to find a rusty old lamp or bottle that contained a wish granting genie, it would not be today. I'd be sure to waste my wish on a nap or a giant bar of chocolate. But as long as I'm thinking of it, a wish right now wouldn't be so bad. If I could, I would just wish to be with my older sister right now. I miss her like crazy, especially on days like today. Aren't our family relationships the most important thing we have? Being so far away from the person who has been my closest friend since I was born is not an easy thing. Growing up, I never thought about where our lives would take us. I just assumed that all my siblings would always be together; right there for each other whenever we needed to be. But I am blessed to have such a good family, no matter how far apart we may be.
